The issues facing families in high income areas can be difficult. In
this fun and interactive workshop, Parenting Perspectives will
provide practical and easy-to-implement tips and creative approaches to
help parents navigate through some of the toughest challenges of
parenting in today’s privileged world. You will learn how to encourage
your child to construct healthy “inner” homes.

For parents of 8th grade students Trading Spaces: A Successful
Transition to High School The challenges of moving on to high school can
be overwhelming. Come hear a discussion of the issues and situations
your children will face as they “trade spaces” from middle school to
high school. Our panel will include representatives from LFHS, CROYA,
and LEAD. Parents from all local schools are welcome. Sponsored by Lake
Forest District 67 Parent Awareness, Lake Bluff PTO, LFHS APT and LEAD.

grades K-5 Love
& Logic For Elementary School Children
This five-week program will help shape thoughtful, caring and
responsible children. Participants will receive practical, easy-to-use
techniques that they can put to work immediately. The Love & Logic
program allows children to grow through their mistakes and to live with
the consequences of their choices. Parents will study shared control,
shared thinking and decision making, consequences, and ways to maintain
children’s self-confidence. Taught by Lynn
Weitz, District 65 School Counselor, and Jan Perlis-Glassman, District 65
Social Worker.
