Special K, K, Vitamin K

What it is
An approved anesthetic used primarily for animals. Most supplies on the street are stolen from legitimate sources such as animal clinics.

What it looks like
Sold as white powder, Ketamine can be snorted or smoked with marijuana or cigarettes. Potentially lethal combination of Ketamine and cocaine is called "CK."

What it does
Sedates and intoxicates users.

  • A low dose will impair all motor functions and memory. Mixing with alcohol intensifies the effect and drastically increases the chance of overdose.
  • A higher dose will cause a dream-like state and hallucinations called "K-Land."
  • An overdose can produce an intense, frightening experience called a "K-hole" along with potentially fatal respiratory problems.

Why be concerned
This drug is in great demand by teens in our area. It's addictive and lethal. Long-term use can cause depression, flashbacks and amnesia.
