For Student Athletes, Parents, and Coaches -- Grades 7-12

John Underwood, Executive Director of the American Athletic Institute, former NCAA All American, Olympic coach, and sports physiologist will highlight personal qualities and behaviors key to reaching peak athletic performance. His research-based presentation outlines the physical, behavioral and psychosocial consequences of social drinking and drug use on athletic performance as well as the impact of nutrition and sleep choices. Underwood challenges and inspires teens to make healthy, responsible choices and take a leadership role in encouraging their teammates to do the same. Parents and coaches will leave with a clear understanding of how best to support our teens as athletes and leaders.
