For the past several years, LEAD has published a Safe House/Safe Parties Agreement. The intent of the Agreement is to provide substance-free homes, appropriate supervision, vigilance, and support for keeping young people safe from alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
We encourage parents to set and discuss rules and behavior expectations with their children before hosting or attending a party. Especially concerning the following:
- No alcohol or other drugs
- No smoking or use of tobacco products
- No leaving the house and returning
- Only invited guests allowed
- Light should be left on and doors left open at all times
- No access to pornography, such as video tapes/DVD and sites on the internet
Download the Agreement and fax it to the LEAD office to join other parents who share a common commitment toward substance-free childhood experiences and safe houses for enjoyable but monitored activities for young people.

LEAD was recently profiled in Forest & Bluff magazine. The article gives a brief history of the organization's contributions to our community during the past 25 years and highlights our upcoming Parent University.
